The equipment in this lending library is available to community theaters and school drama departments within driving distance of Ayer, MA (physical location of gear). Items will not be shipped.

The intent of this lending library is to address equity issues amongst participants in online theater productions that rely heavily on the equipment folks have access to in their own homes.

As such, it is not meant to provide state-of-the-art gear for your whole cast (sorry, we don't have the funding for that!), but rather to make reliable, good-quality gear available for those in the cast who need a boost, to ensure that the quality (or lack thereof) of an actor's existing lighting, microphone, webcam, etc, is not a barrier to their full participation (or an big inconsistency issue in production quality).

Loans are made to a representative of the organization (theater or drama department), rather than the individual cast members, so that the tech team of that theater can manage the gear and assist their cast with set-up and issues. The "borrower" is the organization represented, and their representative will be asked to review and sign the Loan Agreement on their behalf.

This service and the loans are free of charge, to ensure access to those who need it. However, the borrower will be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any damaged or lost equipment.

Search for what you need using the search function at the top of this page, or the pulldown menu on the left. Go right ahead and checkout any items you want that is available, indicating the full loan period desired, and a Librarian will be in touch to arrange equipment pickup. Email us at the address indicated below with any questions.
